Then compare:

This exercise helps you see how AI can structure and adapt information for different audiences, which is extremely useful when communicating with donors, volunteers, and the public.

Exercise 2 photographs: The goal is not to create misleading or deceptive images, but to clean up and enhance photographs that were actually taken during real activities. AI tools can help correct common problems such as poor lighting, distracting backgrounds, or slight motion blur.

Exercise 3 Voice: The goal in fundraising is to sound authentic, trustworthy, and hopeful, rather than overly dramatic or sales-oriented. A voice that feels human and sincere helps donors emotionally connect with the mission.

1. Warm Nonprofit Fundraising Voice

This prompt helps create a friendly and trustworthy tone.

Prompt Example

“Read the following message in a warm, sincere, and conversational tone. The voice should sound compassionate and trustworthy, as if speaking directly to a donor who cares about helping people. Speak clearly at a moderate pace with gentle enthusiasm.”

2. Inspirational Donor Appeal Voice

This prompt works well for fundraising appeals and campaign videos.

Prompt Example

“Deliver this message in an inspiring and hopeful voice. The tone should be calm, confident, and uplifting while remaining authentic and heartfelt. Speak slightly slower than normal conversation to allow the message to feel meaningful and sincere.”

3. Empathetic Storytelling Voice

This works especially well for donor impact stories.

Prompt Example

“Read this message using a compassionate storytelling voice. The tone should feel empathetic, sincere, and reflective, highlighting the human impact of the story. Maintain a gentle pace and a natural conversational rhythm.”

  • After you are satisfied with the recording, import it into your preferred voice software.

  • When the recording sounds the way you want, place it into the voice software you plan to use.

  • Once the voice sample meets your expectations, upload it to the voice software of your choice.
